The History of The Poor Man's Poet
What follows is the ever-changing history of The Poor Man's Poet.
(This page will be updated, as future events require.)
1996 AD to 2003 AD
With any project, the origins, the history and the future are all a bit tied to luck. The Poor Man's Poet is no exception, it was born out of necessity rather than design. The Poor Man's Poet has gone by a few different names, none of which anyone knows, and none that matter much now anyhow. From 1996 to 2003 Robb West wrote and arranged quiet a few songs, not all of which have survived to the present day. During this time several attempts to form bands were made, none of which lasted very long.
2000 AD to 2004 AD
The Poor Man's Poet also changed the location of its "home base", from Lynchburg, Virginia to State College, Pennsylvania.
2005 AD to Present
Starting in April of 2005 The Poor Man's Poet moved once again, this time to Winter Park, Florida (outside Orlando). In hopes of learning the tools of the trade, I have started school at a technical college studying recording arts. So, this is my current life... SCHOOL!
The Future
As for the future, well as C.L. Lewis wrote "The Future...
something which everyone reaches at a rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever
he does, whoever he is", so I guess we'll meet it when it gets here!
